We are Drive IT Home, a community interest company with over 20 years experience in driving and road safety issues.
Drive IT Home objectives are to:
- Raise driving safety awareness via worshops and appearing at local events and exhibitions.
- Deliver workshops to businesses and corporate partners in both private and public sectors.
- Deliver workshops to support extra curricular activities for schools, colleges and universities.
- Connect with other associations and offer Drive IT Home workshops as a benefit to their membership.
- Target funding to improve systems in support of workshop bookings.
Drive IT Home relies upon direct bookings and sponsors to fund workshops that ultimately save lives.
We know that after a workshop if one person makes a choice to avoid an unsafe overtake, reduce their speed, ignore their mobile phone, take a taxi or walk home, then Drive IT Home has suceeded in saving a life.
Drive IT home workshops begin in a relaxed and informal manor and just when the audience feels safe, just like we do when we're in the driving seat, that's when we Drive IT Home! We share the personal testimonies of how the effects of a road accident are irreversible both physically and mentally. We back this up with reconstruction film and facts.
We prepare and follow up Drive IT Home workshops with lesson plans for educators and with monitoring and evaluation for employers. This allows us to assess the ongoing effectiveness of our workshops.
